That depends... U.S. and Italian prices/models/availability differ.
When you say "full HD", does that mean 1080p?
Looking for LCD, LCoS, Plasma... etc.?
Try using a price comparsion website such as mysimon, pricegrabber, etc for some ideas.

Cheapest usually isn't the best way to go for a 40"+ TV. :)
Not sure what you can get in Italy. But Vizio and Olevia are two brands in the states that offer alot of TV for the money and offer a good quality picture.
