hello all
my friend gave me broken Westinghouse w 32701 lcd tv
that he was gonna grow to the garbage
ok
At power up screen flashes blue for an instant then goes black. Sound works
(now i have 2 broken tv;s to fix :drool11: )

Just a guess...
It looks like an "error message" (like a PC's blue screen of death).
Perhaps a reflash or update of the firmware:

Or... the backlight is bad.
You can always try contacting Westinghouse for tips.

i called Westinghouse because i could not register to download the
firmware and the shed there is no firmware available for this tv

i dunno it look like a bord and notta lite
you havta look fur udder place to bay cheeper if it reelly the part that bad

if you can please explain what is backlight that will be great (i am not the best sppeler so wat)

If the backlight CCFL is good, it may be a bad inverter. Or both?
