cable hookups

Just had delivered a Hitachi 43 inch widescreen. Circuit City hooked up the TV to my components and I noticed that my progressive DVD is hooked up via "S" cable and not the three monstor cables that I bought.

My question is will the picture be that much better when watching DVD's if I hook it up with the three color coded monstor cables? The problem is that my system is in a built in entertainment center where moving anything is a big issue.

Yes, hook-up that progressive DVD player with the component cable. Then compare the picture quality :)

edit: Without the component cable you will be watching the DVD's at 480i instead of 480p.

Also, return the Monster component cables and get the AR component cables. save a few bucks and buy a DVD or some brews with the $$ difference.
