I got my 3db attenuator to correct my red push on my WS-55411 and I put it in between my cable box component red out and the component red cable.

Does it make a difference if I insert it like I did or should I have inserted between the component red cable and the tv? Depending on how you insert it, it reverses its direction.

Attenuator - A device that can reduce the strength (amplitude) of an electrical signal with little or no distortion.

As far as I know, the ones used for industrial applications, they are bidirectional i.e can be connected either way. I dont know if this helps. My 0.02.

I also think they are bi-derectional but thought I would ask. Thanks for the input.
