I noticed that Circuit City carries a Phillips digital antenna rotator now on clearance for $19.95. Anybody use this brand? The reviews are poor on the CC site but I think they refer mainly to the rotator and not the control unit.

My Channel Master digital antenna rotator control box died after a couple months of very light use so I am disappointed with that brand.

I'm thinking about using the Phillips control box with the still functional Channel Master rotator.

Any thoughts?

IMHO...
A $20 rotatator and controller is not going to be any "better" than a Channel Master (CM).

CM has been manufacturing antenna products for many years and I would trust that would stand behind their product/warranty.

I wouldn't assume that the Philips "controller" will function with the CM rotor.

Either try to get the controller replaced/repaired by CM or if you want to go through the effort, replace the whole "shebang".

The warranty period on the CM product has already passed. Even though I had only used it a few months- I had owned it for over a year. (It took me a while to get the time to get it hooked up when I first bought it) I contacted Channel Master and basically was told I was out of luck.
I'll probably just get a replacement CM controller and be done with it.
Thanks
