We currently have an Hitachi 43UWX10B with Comcast Digital Cable and an HD decoder box.

We upgraded to the HD box from Comcast about 2 months ago and things have not gone smoothly.

Comcast has been having problems getting HD working. They have been out numerous times and we keep having the following problems:

1) It takes 10 seconds for an HD channel to tune in - this maybe normal but I don't know
2) The audio is sometimes fuzzy
3) The audio is clear but 2-3 seconds behind the video
4) The signal cuts out completely

The signal cutting out seems to happen more often the longer the TV is on. This does not happen with any other TVs set to the non-HD equivilent (ABC-HD vs ABC). Last night we could not get through the last 9 minutes of a TV show without it cutting out twice.

Has anyone seen these types of problems before?

Thank you

I just got my side car HD200 box last week. I am pleased with the service so far. I just wish CBS was carried. When Comcast came out they said NBC was having problems - most of the time it is OK.

I did notice during "Crossing Jordan" last night the picture kept switching from HDTV to HD -

I am willing to put up with a learning curve just to have HDTV in the house.

I have my HD box connected to the set with Monster cables and left the digital cable box via S video for analog and digital cable channels

I had the box hooked up so the analog and digital would be converted to 1080i but the picture was 4:3 and I have a 16:9 set.

i called Motorolla customer support who said that was normal - so oh well

What is your experience with connecting the digital box to the HD box for digital and cable?

Thanks

Mike
