hi every1 i want an answer to a question to put my mothers mind at rest....she believes that if a tv is left on for an extended amount of time (I.E bout 5 hrs) that it will overheat and inevitably explode and suck in the lungs of everyone in the vicinety i know it is not scientificaly possible for this sort of thing to occur and there has been no recorded insident please helf me as my ears are achin from mum mother nagging me to turn the tv off.

No... it can be left on 24x7 without incident.
Although it will not suck in the lungs of people in the vicinity, too much TV can suck out your brain. ;) Perhaps that's what mum is worried about...

I was thinking the same thing while trying to get thru all the spelling and punctuation errors in his post...

Do what your mother tells you to do, and shut the damn TV off. Maybe you can learn to write while it is off.
