I just got the Samsung DTB-H260F, and when I scan for channels the set top box works great and finds a number of HD stations. But I have a directional roof antenna, and when I rotate it to get more stations, I cannot tune them in. If I press the channel # on the remote, it just tells me there is a weak signal, even though I know I can receive the station. It also does not allow me to add the new station in the menu either. Basically, I can tune and watch stations only if I run a channel scan and flip through the stations it's found after the scan. If I turn the antenna to get additional stations, I have to re-scan and then only watch the new stations.
Anyone have this problem? Is my STB broken?

My TV is the same way, I have a old Sami 151 STB. I can add a DTV channel by entering the DTV ch number. My local NBC station is 3.1 but it is sent out on DTV 39 I can enter 39 and it will remap to 3.1 You may want to try that way.
Do a scan, turn your antenna then enter the DTV channel and see if it is added, do not rescan. To get the DTV channel numbers look at TVFOOL.com or antenna web.org

Thanks for the suggestion, but it's still not working. Has no one else had this problem?

Can you try manully adding all the channels?
Another option may be to use either a omni directional antenna or a second antenna with joiner aimed the opposite way. What's your Zip?

A few excerpts from reviews I found:
beautiful picture - sometimes - beware
Fails in several regards:
1. Won't pick up some hd channels.
2. Only scans automatically and adds channels - manual won't work, so if you have a rotor antenna, anything that is unavailable in the direction you are pointed when you scan, cannot be added - you scan again, gain the missing channel, and lose the others - the manual says you can add manually, you can't.
Cons: 1) you cannot add stations manually--all you can do to add a new channel is perform an auto scan after moving your antenna and hope that you pick up additional channels (but you may also lose some channels);
OTOH, I found this... it's what was suggested in post #2. So, it seems there is conflicting info. :)

This is a big problem with some tuners, no way to add channels, my TV tuner is that way. I get stations from one city 41 miles away and the other is 70 miles away in a diff. direction My dish 622 lets me add DTV channels and a new scan does not remove channels from last scan.

I tried emailing Samsung, they said I'd have to call because they couldn't immediately find an answer to my question. I think that means they don't have one, and I'm not sure I have the time to sit on hold with Samsung for an hour.
My zip code is 04043. And whoever said it in one of these posts is right -- you cannot add stations manually, it doesn't work and I've tried everything. The best I've been able to do is start adding stations and then turn my rotor as it's scanning stations, hoping to fool it into thinking I'm always pointed in that direction. That works marginally well, but not what I was hoping for.

Looks like Samsung should look at how the old 151 was set up, you could add channels with no problem and could even have 2 sets of the same remaped channels of two stations. I have 7.1/7.2/7.3 PBS from Jax FL and 7.1/7.2/7.3 PBS from Charleston SC. I got the old Sami 151 back in 2003 and it still works better than this new Junk
