I have ordered my first HD hardware. I ordered a TH-50PZ800U 50" Plasma 1080p (http://www2.panasonic.com/consumer-electronics/shop/Televisions/VIERA-Flat-Panel-HDTVs/model.TH-50PZ800U_11002_7000000000000005702) and SC-BT100 Blue Ray Home theater system (http://www2.panasonic.com/consumer-electronics/shop/Audio/Home-Theater/Home-Theater-Systems/model.SC-BT100_11002_7000000000000005702). I have also ordered an HD package and receiver from DirecTV.

My question or questions revolve around the HDMI connections. I wish to connect everything as simply as possible. The SC-BT100 has only 1 HDMI terminal, the TH-50PZ800U has 4 I believe. Are HDMI terminals bi-directional? If I connect the SC-BT100 to the TV via HDMI, and connect the DirecTV receiver to the TV via HDMI, will the Satellite audio be piped through to the SC-BT100 home theater or will I require seperate component audio cables from the DirecTV receiver to the SC-T100?

If I understand HDMI, it is a data bus, and both video and audio is carried over the bus.

I ordered both the TV and the home theater a couple of days ago. The DirecTV should be installed next week. Hopefully the TV and home theater will arrive at home before I return. I am really looking forward to it.

Thanks for any advice in advance.
Vincent
