I have been a DTV subscriber for 3 years now and this weekend picked up a new HD receiver. Because the HD receiver needs to use all 3 satellites, I also had to upgrade to a new 3 LNB oval disk.
The new disk is an RCA 3 LNB with integrated multiswitch.
Question? I can get sats. 101 and 110 to come in great (>90) on all xponders at the same time, but get no signal to 119. No matter how I adjust the disk, I get no signal from 119. I am only running two TV's and have therefore tried all the outputs on the multi switch. Neither of my receivers pick up a signal from 119.
Any suggestions? HELP!
I'm thinking it must be a bad LNB.

Which receiver did you get? Here are a couple of things for you to try. Make sure that you have your receiver set-up for a dish with 3 lnb's on the Hughes E-86 I know it is oval dish 3. Also make sure that you have the lnb's in the correct location on the dish because the sat C lnb is different than the sat A & B lnb's. On my dish the sat C lnb is the middle one. If you think you have a bad lnb take the one from the 101 and switch it with the one with the 119 one and see what you get then. One more thing make sure you put in your zipcode in your receiver so that you can get the correct angle and tilt for your dish.
Hope this helps if not let us know and we'll try something else!!!!

I just finished installing my new D* system with 3 LNB dish and had similar problems. Do you have a cascadable multiswitch such as the Eagel Aspen, Spaun, or Terk M58? If not, you need one. With the integrated multiswitch on your dish, if the second multiswitch is not cascadable, it won't pass all 3 sats.
Also, check all your connections. I had a couple that were bad and that gave me fits trying to trouble-shoot my problem.
Hope this helps. Good luck.

Both my Phillips DSR6000 and Samsung SIR-TS160 both needed to be told about the new dish on my setup. I used a JVI trunkline cascadable multiswitch (4x8 unit 35-TRDTV48) cascaded from the newer AU2 18x20 3LNB dish. The older 18x24's you can by pass the Multiswitch on the dish and use an older non cascadeable ms.

I've just installed a new 3 LNB 18X20 dish for my D*TV system. I have a Panasonic TU-HDS20 receiver that I've had for a few months. When I run the receiver, I get pixels and blackouts with the new dish. Is this caused by the lack of the cascadable multiswitch? If so, where is the best place to purchase one?
