I've had my Samsung TX-P3071WH (30" CRT) since 2004 and just now when I turned on the TV, this is what I saw:

It looks like a problem with the cathode ray tube, maybe alignment somehow.
Oh and I smelled something burning and turned it off quick - couldnt easily see what was burning.
TV has worked great since 2004 and it was working good just last night. There were no storms since then (no lightning) and TV is on a surge protector and other components on that protector are working fine.
What do you think is the issue here? What do you think caused it?
Is it fixable, or is this the end of the tube?
(Don't really want to buy a new TV since I'm planning to make a major move pretty soon... arrrgh! :nono2: )
