I'm looking to purchase a new projector and after researching online, I'm confused as to the exact quality difference of lcd vs DLP.
I'm also curious as to the difference of a business / office projector that's DLP running in 720p & 1080I vs a home theater (lcd) projector using the same resolution?
I also read in another thread to look at getting one that display's 720p in native mode. How do I know if the in32 that I was watching over the weekend has it or not?
My limited experience:
At work I've seen the infocus in32 and in36. They are very both very bright(especially with lights on) and I was able to watch Sunday Night's Cleveland Browns Game in 1080i (on nbc)with the in32 using a vesa cable. (borrowed it for the weekend).
Personally, I thought the picture was sharp, corners were good, but the color looked a bit washed out. I decreased the brightness which helped. I can't say it was a bad picture, but wondering if there is better for the same price.
I've read in several reviews that the dlp's don't display the red's and yellow's as clear and vivid as the lcd's, but I have yet to see an actual comparison.
Projector central states that the infocus in32 does a better job with color modes then others dlp's, but how do they compair to the lcd?
My main use is for High Def TV and Movie's along with my xbox 360. I also will need the brightest unit I can afford as it will be in our family room with moderate light thought the afternoon to late evening.
Any input is appreciated.
Thanks
