Hi

Newbie here! We have just bought the new Plasma panasonic 46inch freesat TV which sits 12 feet away and after only three days of watching a couple of hours my eyes are stingy and strained and so are my husbands. i can also see pixels. Should I change for the 42 inch plasma or will i have the same problem?

Thinking of changing to 42 inch Sony LCD?

Please help!

Perhaps a proper setup of the TV will help, see the following post:

You seem to be far enough from the TV.

(I sit 11' from a 61" TV)

Also, are you watching HD or SD. If SD, see the following tips/explanations:

I would guess you have not adjusted the picture to a reasonable brightness. First enter the TV menu. In the "picture" section change the mode to Cinama; I'm guessing it is now set to VIVID, which is much, much too bright. This alone will help a great deal. It may take a few hours to get used to the proper brightness after watching that tourch . . . just give it a chance.

That is the first link in post 2, but I guess it bears repeating. ;)
