Connecting PC audio to Sony R60XBR2

on the back of the set there is a Video 8 input for HDMI video, and thereis a matching HDMI audio in (which looks like RCA). Does this work if I connect RCA audio cable to it? I use a 3.5mm cable converting to RCA at end connecting to that HDMI audio in. The problem is when I test it, there is no sound coming out.

If it needs a certain HDMI audio cable, which one is it?
Ideally, I want to just connect from PC to TV without a receiver.

Often there's a setting in the user setup menu or in the external input menu where you have to tell the TV to use the analogue audio input, instead of the HDMI input.
