I recently purchased a Panasonic 50" Plasma and I'm trying to hook up my XBOX 360 using the composite cables and I get no picture. I briefly looked through the forums and did not find anything helpful. I'm niether a electronics genius or new to electronics but I tried just about everything I could think of. Yes I switched my input to composite 1 were I have them plugged in. But I got nothing no sound or picture. Thanks in advance for your help.

You should use component cables at a minimum for better picture quality. Check your X360 manual for video output setup.

I just got off the phone with panasonic and they think that it is something to do with the inputs on the TV so they are going to send someone out to look at it. I tried a dvd player and it worked fine. I did plug my Xbox in with standard cables and it worked looked like crap. But thats why I have another HD tv till we can get this solved thanks.

Composite cable = 1 yellow for video, red/white for audio
Component cables = 1 red, 1 green, 1 blue (all video only)
If the DVD player worked fine, the XBox should also work. I'm confused by your response.
Have a look at the following things to check.

And the following on Cables and Connections:

Note that you will need the three component video cables outlined by Ratman above, plus the analogue audio cables for sound. Make sure you connect them to the appropriate input and make sure you switch the TV to that input. You should also check the settings in the XBox.
I'm also confused by your comment - it makes no sense if the DVD player works, that it's something with the TV.

I am having a similar problem connecting a dvd recorder. On page 37 of my owner's manual it states if you are using the prog out terminal, video signals cannot be passed if hooked hp to HDMI or composites. Hope that helps
