Hi....I have my Panasonic 32" TC-32LX60 connected directly to the cable outlet in my bedroom( We get cable with the HOA) and I get NBC 5.1 and FOX 29.1 but can't get ABC 25.1 and CBS 12.1.(reads channel not avialable). I called Panasonic for answers and they told me the TV set was working fine and they tought it could be a reception strength issue, they advise me to call the cable company (Comcast in Palm beach county, Florida) wich I did. The cable guy came yesterday and did not find anything wrong. My other TV set in the living room (Sony 40" KDL40S3000) gets all the local DT channels, the cable guy said this was very weird. Why one TV gets the channels and the other does'nt? I'm hoping someone had a similar issue and I get an answer. Thank you.

1) take the 32" to the location of the 40" and test.
a) if it works, it could possibly be a signal strength issue to the drop in your bedroom
b) if it doesn't work, the internal tuner may not be interpreting the PSIP (channel mapping) info properly (for whatever reason).

If a) is not successful, try tuning to the "real" cable channel number.

Here's a useful link. Enter your zip code and tune to the desired "real" channel (indicated by the qam256 designation). I.E. WXYZ channel 122.5 or 122-5

Thank you for your message. In fact I ran a cable from my bedroom to the living room and my 40" Sony picked up all the channels. I called Panasonic and the guy I spoke to ask me to reset the TV and I got the same results. He ask me what year my TV was manufactured , there is a firmware update after my TV was manufature, he will mail me the update in a SD card. Lets hope that fixe the issue.

Mr. Ratman...

I went to silicondust.com and it was very helpfull. I think you are right about the TV not recognizing the cable channels maping. I get the 2 channels now, but the problem is that they are on different channels logs. ABCDT and CBSDT are on the 107's and NBCDT and FOXDT are on the 81's that been say I can not save them to my favorites, I have to tune them manually. Is this a tuner issue that can be fix? or this is the way its gonna be with this TV?
Thanks again.....

Don't really know... I would think you should be able to save any channel to "favorites". If you're fortunate, perhaps the update will help. If not, I guess you have to live with it.
