I've had a mits 46807 for about 9 months & i'm very happy with it. What I've noticed in the past 2-3 months is something inside the glass part of the screen that looks like accumilated dust or maybe dried water stain (my wife cleaned the screen with windex & maybe some got behind the screen?). It would seem that the glass might be able to be removed for inside cleaning but it doesn't seem possible. I'm also not sure if my set has "Diamond Screen".
How do I know if I have a Diamond Screen installed?
Can a Do-It-Yourself-er remove it? And How?

this might help??:
when i got mine i had to install the dimond sheld in front of the screen i had to flex it in the top and bottom trim but the sides i snaped in the black plastic trim over the dimond sheld so I think you coud just pull the side trim out and get the dimond sheld off to clean your screen but i dont know what you can cleen it with ive had mine over a year and i just cleen the dimond sheld with a feather brush and have never put windex on it.
hope that helps

use a can of computer air stick the little stick somewhere and blow it out!!
Makers of Windex (and other no-name products of similar ilk), should change their directions to exclude TVs.
What they were referring to is the glass on a tube TV, which most people have, but many people are "trading in" on an RPTV. Any non-glass item should not have Windex used on it. If you must, use warm water, perhaps with a very small amount of mild dish soap, or use nothing wet at all.
Don't rub hard or the plastic will scratch. Damn women, always trying to clean everything to death. ;) My mother scrubbed her bathtub so much she eventually wore the enamel right off it... She scrubbed her no-wax floor so much that it wore the protector off it, then she had to wax her no wax floor. Old habits (especially European ones) die hard I guess...
