Can someone please provide a list of which channels are brodcast on which sattelite? In the winter I have no problem accessing all three, but in the spring when the leaves come out I lose HDNet, HDPPV & HDHBO.
Thanks!

The three you mention are on Sat B. FYI ShoHD is on Sat C.

With the new HD package, are they moving HDNet to Sattelite C?

Check out HDNET's website. They have some information regarding the change in channel #.
Sat A - 101 (http://www.lyngsat.com/dig/directvusa101.shtml)
Sat B - 119 (http://www.lyngsat.com/dig/directvusa119.shtml)
Sat C - 110 (http://www.lyngsat.com/dig/directvusa110.shtml)

In theory ..if all the ppv and regular channels are on 101..and 119 has only 10 channels .....shouldn't DirecTv be able to put 1 HD channel for every 5 regular channels on 119???? I mean if they can carry that many on 101 then they should in T H E O R Y they should be able to carry at least 20 more HD channels in the future.on 119... .right ???????

I get Sat A and C without a problem. Sat B sits just behind a tree (Which in the winter I'm sure won't be a problem). Does anyone know the Elevation and Azimuth I would need to set up my old round dish to get Sat B? My plan is to combine the signals like one would with the Sat C kit, only using seperate dishes so I don't have to cut limbs.
BTW, Sat C is shared with Dish Network, or is it Sat B or both?

I'm thinking you could get the Az/El for a round dish from your setup screen (or directv.com) - that would point you at Sat A. The elevation stays the same for the round dish pointing at Sat B, and presumably the difference in azimuth is just the angular difference between the Sat A and B orbital slots => 119-101 = 18 degrees. Sounds logical but could be totally bogus!

Check lyngsat.com for orbital slots of all the geo birds.

I'll try it - Actually it's the difference of the 2 satellites, then add the difference to my azimuth, and that's about the right direction.
In my case I have elevation 35 Azimuth 232 for Sat A, I know sat B was off to the right somewhere, so I did your math, and added the 18 point difference to get 250, which is about where the satellite is - I'll run a line straight to my HD receiver and check the signal strength with my wife on one walkie talkie and me on the other outside. That's how I set up the triple LNB. Once I lock in Sat B (hopefully) I'll merge the signals and let everyone know. I have a feeling the Elevation is different, but we'll find out.
