I have a 65" HDTV Sony that has given me some problems.
Best Buy is ready to replace the unit, and since this is the second Sony set that I have had problems with, I have decided to change brand. (I was in love with Sony, but...)

I see that Best Buy has the HCN-653W, but I do not see it as part of the line up of TVs at Samsung web site. In fact I noticed that Samsung web site has only HCM series.

The HCN-653W had DVI input, therefore I am to assume it is a preatty recent model.
Can someone give me some details on the difference ?

Also, how good is the quality of Samsung products in general ?

Many thanks.

From what little information I can gather from a variety of different web sources, it appears that the HCM and the HCN are nearly the same.

I, too, was having a bit of a problem distinguishing the difference between Samsung models (mainly the HCL and the HCN). Of those two models, I found that the HCL's don't have the DVI inputs like the HCM and the HCN's have. This might be a big factor in some consumers who want a DVI input in their system.

Nevertheless, I have decided on going with the HCN473W @ Fry's because they are having a sale until the 10th of June. You cannot beat $999 for a 47" HDTV.
