SVM Question

I am new to RPTV. I just purchased a Hitachi 46f500. Been reading hints on tweaking. What confuses me is, people suggest turning off "SVM" I can't find a setting labeled "SVM" I do find one labeled "VSM" ( vertical scan ) are these one in the same ? Thanks ... Mackie

I believe in the Hitachis it's under "advanced settings" in the video menu. They call it "velocity modulation".

I assume you're reading the hints in the FAQ section on "what you need to do to your new HDTV."

Yes, on the Hitachi's it is in the Video/Advanced Settings and it's called Scan Velocity Modulation. Basically, turn off (uncheck)everything you see in Advanced Settings.
