Has anyone taken off the front of their big screen tv and cleaned the CRT's and the reflective glass. If so what did you use to clean it with..ie cleaning solution, type of cloth etc.....
Go to a photo store. Get some lens cleaner and some lens cloth. Tell them what you're using it for.

Be careful. If your "reflective glass" is a first surface mirror, any cleaner no matter how careful you are will scratch the surface. Most of the new RPTVs are first surface mirrors. In other words, it's not glass with a reflective backing. Your best bet is to blow off the dust with an air can. Now the lens cleaner and cloth are fine for the CRTs. The air can will also come in handy to particles in between the lenses.

If you are cleaning dust rather than finger prints or something sticky, you may want to use a canned air duster.
