I plan on purchacing an A/V Reciever very soon,
I have a Mits WS65869 with netcommand,

I am just curious about how this is supposed to work.

I currently have an extremely dated Pioneer audio reciever,
All of my devices currently plug into one of the input's in the back of my TV, and I take the audio out from my TV into my audio reciever, and using netcommand I can switch between devices and everything is good, except for the fact that I have no surround sound or anything like that...

How would thing's work with an A/V reciever, would I take my Audio and Video outputs from my devices and run them strait to my reciever and let the A/V reciever switch between devices and not use netcommand?

or would I use netcommand just as I do now, only netcommand would change the inputs on my A/V reciever instead of the inputs in the back of the TV? I assume I had better look at the list of supported A/V recievers in NetCommand if this is the case and buy one that is supported......

just curious as to how this works, the A/V recierver that I had my eye on is the...

Panasonic SA-HE100 (http://catalog2.panasonic.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ModelDetail?storeId=11251&catalogId=11005&itemId=63392&catGroupId=11135&modelNo=SA-HE100&surfModel=SA-HE100) or the Panasonic SA-XR45S (http://catalog2.panasonic.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ModelDetail?storeId=11251&catalogId=11005&itemId=63385&catGroupId=11135&modelNo=SA-XR45S&surfModel=SA-XR45S) preferrably the thin one...

can anyone help me to understand how this should be set up???

Do you have everything hooked up via the IEEE 1394 (firewire) cables? Or are you using the IR blasters? Either way, it should work. (if it's the latter setup, you'll need to reprogram the remote for the new receiver)

The only issue you may have is that you're going to want to take advantage of digital sound with that new receiver.

Now, the purist will tell you to hook digital audio directly to the receiver. You'll still have control of the device (ie: DVD) while the audio is fed to the receiver. However, if you ever just want to watch TV and hear the sound from the on-board speakers without the receiver, you would need to run the digital audio from the device to the TV and then to the receiver. This is where you might have a problem depending on how many digital inputs you have and whether your TV has a digital output.

There are several ways to get from here to there.
