I just notice that Directv has degraded the picture during the last week until now on the HD channels, does anybody notice that?

I've noticed a screen blip on the high def channels every now and then particularly HBO and Showtime. Its possible its related to them experimenting with higher compression and the possible movement of the channels to Sat C.

I am not sure about moving the HD channels to sat C would improve quality. I am currently subscribed to family package with HDNET and HBOH and appear that some SHOH subscribers still have the poor picture problem. SHOH shouldn’t have this kind of problem because is the only one on sat C.

Directv moved 2 HD channels (HBO and HDNET?) onto 1 transponder resulting in a degradation of their picture quality. There are a couple of large threads on the matter over at www.avsforum.com .
