View Full Version : ws-55859 flashing green light

the green light on my ws-55859 is flashing and the tv is unresponsive, it will not turn on/off,i tried unplugging it. and i tried replacing the seven caps. on the dm power board, i still have the same problem, the tv makes no sound at all when you unplug it and plug it back in.....i hope someone here can give me direction on what to do next., i called mitsubishi and they gave me a phone number for a local repair shop(gee thanks)..the tv is 6 years old and i have had no problems at all.

gulp!!....I have the exact same tv and right now the 7 caps are being replaced by a tech for me after I yanked out the dm module.
If it doesnt work for me, 1. I can call back the on site tech who quoted me $450 to replace the entire DM or 2. I take a sledge hammer to it so I can break it up into tiny pieces so it will fit in my trash can....
I guess we will see tomorrow :pop222:

Got my DM back and installed it...working good!
Did you do you own soldering? Mine was done by a seasoned tech.

these sets were touchy regarding the power feeding the dm power board. make sure your 12vdc source to the dm pins 7,8,9,10 on connector pf is good and clean. also check fuse f9b01 and the 28vdc source pin 11 on the of connector

I've got one of these on my hands. What is the fix if 12v on pf or 28v is not so good?
