Complain to TW

Ok it is time for the cable-customers to do something: (hope this thread doesn't go against some forum policy)

Per a newly started thread Direct-TV is about to launch a couple of new HD-Stations. TW sells HD on the fact that they have more HD offerings than Satellite - this will now be false. I know that for the future cable is probably going to have the most, but they are falling behind. I have emailed my local TW-office and told them that they will have to revise their information or announce new HD-Channels. Of course I informed them that i will probably change to Direct-TV if they stay still in the HD-Development. So I encourage everyone to do the same as I just did. I will post this on other forums and hope that you all do the same. I want it to be my choice if I want to pay extra for ESPN-HD or not - it is not TW's choice.....

How many is direct tv up to?

In my area, they offer 9 HD channels:

NBC
CBS
FOX
ABC
ABC (again?)
WB
PBS
HBO
Showtime

Granted, one of them (ABC again) is a constantly looping weather image with identical audio from the previous channel (ABC), but that's a damn crisp picture of the current weather. ;)

7 here so real close to false advertising. I have HD mostly because of sports - I love good movies and travel programs etc, but I work all day (like right now) and love to sit down in the couch with a beer and watch sports. Now sports in HD is just 10 times better and makes it tolerable to do work on a Saturday when my 50-inch is in front of me and I can watch some college football in HD - if Direct TV will be the way I have to go then I will do so even if it is only for a year or two before cable has caught back up. I am also pissed because I have emailed three times to TW about problems and left two voice-mails yesterday and they still haven't responded ( the emails were weeks ago).
