I want to get a HD Television soon and will be using this in a room that's fairly dark. I watch TV sometime during the day but blinds would be close but my favorite time is at night with the lights off and complete darkness. Is there a certain type that's best? I have looked at RPTV's (I guess they are CRT based) as well as DLP's.

There are usually no issues associated with dark rooms. Any TV will function well there when properly set up. It's usually people who want to watch in bright light that have difficulty with the larger sets because they don't have as much light output per sq. ft. of screen.

For example, front projectors won't work well in bright light situations.
