I live in a small town in Virginia. How can I get OTA HD feeds? It may not be possible because I don't live close to a large station. Could someone please explain the process of getting these feeds. I have Directv and currently get HBO, Showtime, and HDNet. I also will of course be getting the addtional package in July, but I would love to be able to get ABC HD. I would appreciate the help.

No trick to getting OTA as long as the signal is available. First you should check to be sure that there are broadcasters in your area broadcasting HD signals. Then figure out what type of antenna you need to pickup those signals. I have a rooftop pointed straight at the three major network towers in my town and they all come in fairly well. I estimate I live about 11 miles from the towers line of sight.
If you hire the antenna installed have them be sure to use a meter to measure the signal on the digital channels and aim the antenna for you so it receives an optimum signal.
Lastly use the search feature and you may discover someone else on here from your neck of the woods who has already done the homework. If nothing else you will learn of how far away other have been able to bring in digital signals from a transmitting tower.

Go to the Antenna Web . Org (http://www.antennaweb.org) site, plug in your address and see what it says.
Also, check out the FAQ section. There's a post in there on Antennae that may be useful, especially the first link.
