I was trying to help a friend out tonight with his 5100 - he can't get digital sound from it. His Denon (I can't remember the model number but it is older) displays an "overload error" message when it is fed a digital signal from the motorola. There is a sticker on the receiver indicating that the receiver cannot accept digital signals with a bandwidth of 96mhz. Is this the bandwidth of the motorola signal? If so I assume this is the problem. If this is the case, is there a solution or is the receiver junk? Any thoughts would be appreciated. btw the problem is not the box as I brought my receiver over and it would accept a digital feed from his box.
