I have a Samsung HCL473W TV with a convergence problem.
I replaced the convergence board and that did not do anything. (actually the Perfect Focus dissappeared from the menu).
I ordered the stadard replacement ICs and replaced the convergence ICs. The 3.5 amp fuses are not blown and there are no blown resistors.
After replaceing the ICs and putting the TV back together, I could not get the Red color to converge in the manual convergence menu under the USER mode.
I went into the Service convergence mode and the green was almost perfect, the blue was good but the red color looked like an hour glass laying on its side andwould not respond to any adjustments. up/down or left/right.
In all I have two problems.
1. Picture Focus will not appear on ANT A with cable plugged in or Video input 1 with a DVD player plugged in with composite video.
2. The Red Convergence is out of whack.
