I currently have this set...
I've had it for about 4 months, no complaints as of yet...
Has anyone had any good/bad experiences with this set?
Heard of any issues that I should be on the look out for?
Thx
Dark
I have had this set for 13 months without any issues. I worry sometimes due to the name brand, but I'm told by many that it's a good set.
Good luck!

These are the following issues I have had on the TV since 2002:
1) The S-Video port has failed
2) The Mechanical access door no longer works (currently stuck down)
3) The on screen menu display has lost color information (I did not change any related settings in the service menu)
4) The convergence is more sensitive now, causing me to frequently fix it - although it never comes out perfect, especially in the right bottom corner
The good things:
1) The unit still plays 1080i, 480p, & AV fine.
2) The sound has been reliable
3) The color has remained fine
4) There are no sharp burn-in images, except a faint blur where the station icon usually shows up in the right bottom corner
5) The screen has never been scratched
6) The unit has never run 'too hot' - The vented air in the back in warm
Its been a while, but I'm not so pleased with it anymore. I will agree with the above poster on:
-The Mechanical access door no longer works (currently stuck down) I'll add that this happened in spite of it very rarely ever being used since the reomte made it almost not necessary to ever have to deall with. Also, it broke 1 month after my 5-yr warranty ran out
-The convergence is more sensitive now, causing me to frequently fix it - although it never comes out perfect, especially in the right bottom corner
And I will add that it has "died". Will not tun on. I was adjusting the convergence when it simply shut off and now does not respond at all to the power button.
Also, before it died, it developed a "crease" on the screen right across the center of the screen. Very noticeable on lighter and white pictures. Looks like a white sheet folded, creased, then unfolded.
Not sure what to do with it now
