I have recently had a problem with my Panny plasma set. It's a model TH-42PX60U and it's just over 3 years old. I had it professionally calibrated by Gregg Loewen just after purchasing it. The last few days when I watch HD programming then change to SD channels I get a picture that is divided down the middle by a large black bar, like window boxing, only in the middle not on the edges. It does this on either of the tuners on the cable box, (Motorola DCT 6412 dual tuner). Any thoughts as to this could be a problem with the box or the tv. The tv is still covered under the extended warranty, so no worries if it is the tv. I just don't know who the call first. I've attached a couple of pics to show what's going on. Thanks for the help. The only way to correct the problem is to shut off everything and power it up again.

Does this happen ONLY when connected to the DCT6412 via an HDMI cable? If you connect the cable directly to the TV and use the internal tuners, do you get a similar result?

I havaen't tried switching anything around yet. The box is conected via a DVI to HDMI cable. It's an older model box. I called comcast and they are going to send someone out with a new box to try that. Hopefully that's all it is. If not, it looks like I will have to get the set looked at. I don't know if it is the box sending out a faulty signal, or the set not displaying the signal correctly...I'll let you guys know what happens for future reference. Jim.
