explorer 8300HD info question

i see you have a sticky for the 4200 info but what about the 8300?

there are 35 pages of information available but what does it all mean?

Here's the FAQ on SA STBs, which is good for all models:

The diagnostic screens are for technical personnel and some of their functions are outlined in the FAQ and in a link near the bottom of the FAQ. The screens differ by model (for example the SA8300HD has information about the HDDs around page 33, while models like the 4250 don't have a HDD.

Consider them like the service menu of an HDTV - not designed for the average user.
