View Full Version : New HDTV receivers coming out soon?

Seems like the receivers available have been out for awhile and some of them are being discontinued. I've been anticipating the release of some new models with better features, such as combined TIVO and HD, and newest video output (I think its called HDMI), but I can't find any info on new boxes. Has anyone heard anything?

I heard from a salesman at Ultimate, that it will be out in October.A salesman at Best B uy told me Feb. 2004. I'm also waiting for it to come out.

There are two coming out that I know about:

I have just ordered my HDTV and I am currently a directv subscriber, I think I am going to wait a couple of months for the new models to come out. There are some places on the web where you can pre-order these.

FYI-
Best Buy has the Sony HD300 priced at $699.99. HD200- 679.99.
It is not on their website. Currently has to be special ordered in the store, but they do sell it.
Main difference I noticed- the RF Remote capability returns in the HD300 model after its reported disappearance from the HD200.
