You will have to upgrade, I use the Samsung SIRT160 and am happy with it. It has DVI, RGB, Component, S-video and composite outputs, these will work with any HDTV made and was easy to setup. You can also receive free OTA HDTV channels as well as regular TV and basic cable if you have service.

I was looking at that same reciever to purchase myself.
It seems to be getting some decent reviews.

But when you look at the details in its profile, when it comes down to "Dolby Digital Compatable" it is checked "NO"

what does that mean exactly?

Will this pose a problem when I want to buy a home theatre system with dolby surround sound?

I was alarmed by this.

It's a typo, it has Optical and Coaxial outputs which are Dolby Digital 5.1. Just make sure your receiver has a optical or Coaxial inputs. I think just about all but the cheapest has these.

For those of us that saved money by purchasing an HD monitor rather than a true HDTV, a satellite receiver that is both a satellite and a local OTA tuner is the way to go. I have the Sony HD-200 and I've been pretty happy with it. It's not as good as the other Sony models I've owned (maybe it's because Sony didn't actually manufacture the HD-200) but I like how it incorporates local and satellite channels together in the program guide.

Really? Who manufactured it? I ask as I have the HD100...
