Purple Haze

Last night I was watching an HDHBO program when my Panasonic 53'' widescreen made a click/pop sound and a purple/blue haze has now come across the entire screen like never before.

I can mostly been see around the edges and things that are dark have a purple/blue tint to it.

Any idea of what may have happened?
(I have a tech coming Monday anyway, but I'm looking for some insight?)

I'm not sure if this is part of the initial burn in process of the TV or not?
Its only been a month and a week old and since its happened my colors are off.

I assume it may have, but does it ever click/pop?
