Hello,
I am new here, so please be kind to me, and assume that I know NOTHING, which isn't too far from the truth!
Anyway, I came home from work the other day, and my daughter was watching a movie on my Panasonic PT53wx42F, and it looked like a 3-D movie without the glasses! The color was way off and there seems to be a convergence problem as there is significant blue "ghosting" and also blue and yellow squiggly lines down the right side of the set! My daughter says it was like that when she turned it on. I called my wife, and she confirmed that it was fine when left for work. My question is, does this sound like one of the lamps blew out, or more like something in the board (capacitor, etc.)?
Any help you can give me would be greatly appreciated. I'm trying to decide whether it's worth it to fix or just buy a new tv (don't really want to spend the funds for either with this economy! LOL!). Picture was excellent in 1080i up until this happened! Thanks in advance, and have a great day!
