audio/video drop HIRD-E86

The audio/video on my hughes HD box occasionally drops out. In the installation menu it get about 90 on sat A, B, & C, but every couple of minutes the signal will drop to 0 for a quick second and then it goes back to 90.
I have a Hughes e45 SD box on the same dish and it does not drop out like that. I believe the problem is in the e86 and not the dish alignment.
Has anyone else seen problems like this before? Is my e86 bad?

that thing overheats in no time and can cause problems. there are vents on the bottom too. try propping the thing up on something to allow the bottom vents to air out too. that fixed my problems. i hope it helps you. good luck.
