I went in the settings for my Sammy hcl473w and basically set them to what this guy had but further reading it was for his set which is different from mine so the outcome is they are a little bit ****ed over now! Does anyone have any ideas on where I can find the factory settings and readjust it to the normal?

The adjustments are there BECAUSE each television has to be adjusted independently. You cannot copy settings from anyone else - even with the exact same model - and expect them to work for your unit.

Tell me - did you play with the user-settings or the service-menu settings?

You are not listening very well. The factory settings are set DIFFERENTLY for each television.

You tried to take someone else's settings and found it messed things up.

It will still mess things up if you take someone's factory settings.

You only have 2 choices:

1) Get a copy of the Avia DVD and go through the tutorials on how to adjust brightness, contrast, colors. This will cause you to IGNORE the actual values on each setting, but pay attention to what each adjustment does.

2) Hire an ISF Calibrationist to come out for ~$300 to do this for you.

I hate to be harsh with you, but you did not even bother to write down your original settings as a precaution. You've "screwed the pooch". Now your only choice is to do some work and learn how to adjust things correctly.

You CAN do this, just make sure to:

- Have the room as completly dark as possible
- Have the TV turned on and warmed up for 20 minutes before you adjust
- Give yourself an hour to go throught the Avia tutorials (dont rush)
- Have a friend/parent standing by outside the room to come in and check your adjustments. (Your eyes will initially be sharp but after 10 minutes or so of very minute changes - it may all blur. A fresh set of eyes you can call on is very helpful).

Take your time, dont panic, and dont be afraid to go back and re-do some steps. Often, the various settings are inter-related. Changing one thing affects another - this is normal.

Note: people who have hired ISF Calibrationists swear by how good the picture is afterwards. Dont hire some generic "TV Repair" person. Make sure they are Imaging Science Foundation certified.

Ok guys why is it that I cannot adjust my 480p setting without readjusting the analog setting like Antenna setting gets adjusted and perfect, than I goto to the component one input and that has 480p signal coming in and it's off so I adjust that and than my Antenna gets messed off and miss aligned.
