Onkyo HTS760..whats your opinion?

What is this system lacking for aregular joe like me? I will have a DVD player, Timewarner HD box, and maybe a ps2 hooked up to it..........

Any thoughts appreciated..


also on the speaker wire, should I buy 12 gauge to replace the stock wires? and is it ok to run it under the carpet, any insullation needed? Thanks

Personally I think it is lacking nothing. I am just starting my first year of grad school and am going to buy one for myself as a congratulations/move-in gift. Went and listened to it at circuit city yesterday, don't think that there is anything for the same price that comes close. (Salesperson at CC said that his manager dropped a speaker and it cracked open; said speakers are Polks :D )

Now, if only I could find myself an HDTV I'd be happy with. Checked out the Samsung TXN2771/5HF. Very disappointed. ANybody know if the older TXM series does away with the edge-to-center bowing that is clearly visible in the widescreen mode of the TXN2771/5HF?
