Anyone know how many NFL games Fox and CBS will be broadcating this year? I've checked their websites and there's not too much info there. I know ESPN and ABC will be showing games, but what about the other two?? Thanks for any info...

I don't know why you would post this here and not in the programming threads, but a Mod will probably move it....
Anyway, FOX just recently announced plans to add HD programming (they finally gave in?) so it's unlikely any NFL games broadcast by them will be in HD this year.
Thread has been moved as suggested...

Hi all,
As a newbie to this forum, let me say thanks for all the info I've been able to gleen so far.
The most knowledgeable person I've ever met at a BB told me last night the the NFL Sunday Ticket will have 4 games each week in HD. Was back tonight, so I asked for more info. He showed me a Sunday Ticket season schedule, and they show for games each week also being on "Enhanced Channel". These are 702, 703, 704, and 705 (i think i remember that correctly). I specifically questioned the use of the word enhanced, and he said "the rep said 'HD'".
Anyone hear anything else like this? This could finally convince me to pay the $150!

Supposedly the HD programming that they are providing is the HD 'Game Of The Week' for both 1:00 and 4:20 EST on both CBS and Fox. So maybe they know something that we don't?!?!

From what I was able to find out, it appears that the "Enhanced Channels" that NFL Sunday Ticket will offer this year, will enclude some special new stuff (including highlights on demand, Gametracker, and in game box scores) ... you can read about it here:
http://www.directvsports.com/Packages/NFLSundayTicket/Enhancements/
You can also tune your DirecTV to channel 700 for more info ... it is still unclear whether or not these games will be in High Def. But there will definately be some games available each week in High Def format, in addition to SNF on ESPN & MNF on ABC. These HD offerings, combined with the new "Enhanced Channels" sounds pretty sweet to me ... can't wait. :)
Here is the schedule for this years "Sunday Ticket" as well,

I just wish they were more clear on which games will be in HD. Guess we'll find out soon enough. :D

And what games are these going to be? D* doesn't make any games - Fox doesn't do any HD and CBS has yet to announce anything about HD. They will LIKELY do 1-2 games a week in HD, but there is no announcement and you email them and see if they reply (they don't). Enhanced might mean Fox widescreen, but there is no guarantee yet........sorry just the way it is no matter what the people state - D* can only transmitt in HD what they receive in HD and so far that might be nothing or probably 2 games +2 Fox games in 480p.........lets hope for the best

As far as I understand it, the "enhanced" channels will show the featured game with additional scores and tickers...mainly appealling to fantasy football participants. These games will NOT be in HD.
