I'm sick of reading about how much cable sucks. So read this, I sold my car (no more Kia Rio! Woo hoo!) I took my Phoenix Gold 10" sub out of my trunk and realized I didn't want to sell it because it kicks so much ass. SO, I took the guts from my Polk Audio 8" and hooked them all up inside my Phoenix Gold's enclosure. It sounded OK, but I knew in the back of my mind, the Polk guts were not pushing that Phoenix Gold to it's full potential. SO, I go to my local Canadian Tire and buy an AC/DC converter, to convert my household 120v AC to 12v DC (duh). Now, sitting next to my piano, is a 10" Phoenix Gold with an Alpine V12 DC straight ontop of it. It sounds better than it did in my car, but now I need a louder receiver to match the level of power going to the sub. And on and on it goes.........
