I have a PT-47WX49E. It has problems with the video disappearing (all sources, not even the action menu shows up). It can occur anywhere from 2-40 minutes after turning the set on, but does not happen everytime. A tech did not see anything wrong, but the problem did not occur during the 30-40 minutes he was looking at it.
Any suggestions?

I kind of had this problem with my Phillips and also my dad had a similar problem with his Hitachi. My tv would showed a power light and that was it. No video, so it seemed the power was getting lost or cut of somewhere. My dads tv was more like your problem, it would start out ok and then lose the inputs.
On both of our tv's it turned out to be bad solder connections. His service guy figured it out pretty quick, mine couldn't figure it out until he took back to his shop and spent a lot of time with it. Maybe you can check with the service guy and see if this is something he checked for.

I would suggest cleaning the inside ckt boards of the TV by a can of compressed air or something like that. It could be some dirt that might be causing some bad connections.
If that doesnt work, then the best option would be to call the service technician.
Good luck :)
