Maybe I am confused, Mitsubishi will never touch a defective T.V. but rather uses 3rd party service centers that are authorized to work on them? If this is the case, how is there customer service great? Now i have to call up someone in my area that can work on it and re-calibrate the whole set. The blue is totally off and using the auto-calibration does nothing. The set is a WS-A55 that is just about 5 months old.
Maybe i am missing something here? Can someone shed some light. thanks
I just figured i would of called a 1800 for Mitsubishi and they would do the rest. I had to call up a long distance number and now do more work.

Just a update, i called up queen city tv repair who is a big reseller here in north carolina. They are scheduled to come out on tuesday. Is there a specific certification or something i should look for when the tech comes out?
The two problems i am having is horrible convergence. it is all over the place.
Also there is a reception problem where every few minutes the reception gets real bad on the set.
Let me know. thanks

dont feel to bad I have had my service man look at mine that mitsubishi refered me to about my convergince. the some of the convergence lines are squiggly. The service guy said thats normal thats how mistubishi ships them and nothing can be done about it. What a wacko any way I am still searching for a different person to look at it.

Please let me know how it goes. I will post how it goes for me after the service guy comes out. I just dont understand how someone can make a post saying Mitsubishi service is great, when they dont even service there own tv and every servicer is obviously going to be different.
let me know.

P.S. I used to work at best buy and bought my tv from them with the 4 year warranty. The only good thing is that they have a lemon clause and other crap in it.

My tv came back today. The original problem before my set was acting all crazy was that the blue was totally off. When you go into the grids in the dead center its on but all over its off the grid and you see blue around everything. That problem is still 100% there after they replaced a main PCB board and all 3 guns. They wanted to take my tv set back to the shop to repair it and bring it out. I chose for a tech to come out tommorow and look at it. I have a feeling when they get into the service menu they can fix it.
Ive had this set since March and already having some major issues with it.
I will make a post tommorow after the tech comes out. is there anything i should know?
P.S. the reason it was picked up originally was because the blue was off, then there will be all this flicker, then a pop and all the colors and screen was totally distorted.
thanks

Sounds like a convergance issue. Did you try doing a convergance adjustment on the blue gun?

FIXED atlast. The tech came out this morning around 8:30am. Got into the service mode and adjusted the blue convergence in the grid. Problem was that if you used the default menu and adjusted the blue grid it would reset after the tv was off for a bit and turned on.
Cool thing about adjusting grid in service mode is that the background is the tv show you have on.
He wrote down all the codes and stuff for me and suggested i dont touch the green grid which i knew not to do.
He told me the problem was that one of the guns was bad and leaked some stuff on the mainboard, they replaced the mainboard and went ahead and replaced all 3 guns just incase.
I got my 55" tv lookin the best it has ever looked just intime for nfl season.
It was a pain in the a55 though :)

ive had a totally great experience with customer service from Mits... and calling long distance shouldnt be a big deal doesnt everyone have a cell phone now LOL im just kidding..... anyway ive got the tech coming back out on thurs 11th got a pincushion effect only in 1080i which is weird cause it doesnt effect any other mode..... also have a blue like circle on the left hand side of the screen which is probably from the blue gun who knows but itll get taken care of......
