I just got a Mistu WS-48313, and I love it except for one thing, and maybe I have it set up incorrectly. I am watching through my Brighthouse cable box. I have the component cables plugged into the "DTV" jack, and the video input from my receiver into the "Input 1" jack.

I can watch all programming just using the DTV jack, and the HD channels look great, but the other cable channels, whether analog or digital, are a bit grainy. But when I view the other cable channels through the Input 1 jack, the picture looks good. Also, when I watch through Input 1, I have several more choices of the picture size (i.e. stretch, zoom, expand, etc.), but when I watch throught the DTV jack, I only have 2 choices: Normal or stretch.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

Thanks,

Rob

What you are seeing is perfectly normal. Many STBs don't transmit good quality SD signals through their component video outputs.

See the FAQ on "Cables & Connections".

Most HDTVs cannot stretch HD inputs. They can stretch SD inputs.
