I've had my Panasonic TU-DST52 for about 2 months now and I'm pretty happy with the box (got from ebay new for 270). The reception seems to be much better then my previous Samsung 151. According to the Panasonic TV service manual (the one I guess I'm not supposed to have but it definately helps) the Panasonic STB box is supposed to be able to put out a test pattern in different formats so I can better setup my TV (convergence and such). Any know how to put this STB into service mode or have the service manual for it - the user manual doesnt give much info.
The Panasonic service dept call in is horrible and they want to charge me over 100$ to come out and do what I could do for free in 5 minutes if I had the service codes. This was the same for the service codes for the TV but after putting into the service menu for the TV and figuring out what their hexadecimal codes meant I could do the setup myself pretty easily - no if I can just find the same thing for this STB.
BTW - The Terk 55 is really bad, my rabbit ears from radio shack can pull in all the channels I need and I'm about 40 miles from the source.
