I don't have InHD yet (Comcast - Burlingame, CA), but I looked at their website and programming schedules, and wonder exactly what it is - i.e. how can they show the US Open, for example, when that is generally on another network - USA or CBS? Same goes for delayed broadcasts of MLS?

And while I'm at it, what is linear programming?

I checked the TWC customer service website area(Milwaukee has one of these areas that are easy to get to).
In the area that indicates new HD programmes coming in fall (now), the reference to IN HD translates to IN DEMAND HD ----meaning EVERYTIME you want to watch ANYTHING--you get charged, just like PAY-PER-VIEW!!!!:(
Sure, they want you to watch the previews and then-they'll get you. No wonder why the website does not offer info as to the charge for it as every cable subscriber's local company will want to charge something different.
So I would prefer NOT to have IN HD over maybe, what Directv offers - at least I know what the fee is for the month's usage is in advance! Example: 5 shows of IN HD at @2.99/each (guess) each week (example only) equals about $15 that week. Gosh, that's more than the $10.99 a MONTH Directv charges for 4 HD channels....what a ripoff!:D

Kojak - don't you work for Comcast? If it's not PPV, can you explain what it is (see my first post in this thread). Also, do you know when we'll get it in Burlingame?

InHD will be a free offering for all Comcast Digital tier customers.
Unlike our competitors, Comcast does not charge for HD content. Although we do charge a $5 fee for monthly rental of the more expensive HD set top box.
Burlingame will have InHD no later than 9/15...

So I'm going to get INHD soon. Great, but.........

I think it will compare favourably with HDNet.
And the price is right! :p

I've been watching the preview and love the HD tennis. The movies are good too.
My question is: Will the non-movie shows have commercials?
Will the movies be edited?
Thanks

InHD and InHD2 are just like HDNet and HDNet Movies. They are commercial free sports and movies, shown in their entirety with no edits. They are NOT Pay-Per-View. They will be included in most $10 a month HD packages on cable and satellite (eventually), along with ESPNHD, HDNet, BravoHD, etc.

Unless you have Comcast Digital Cable, in which case they are FREE.
A pretty compelling price point, n'est-ce pas? :D

INHD is owned by Comcast, so probably not.

This is not completely accurate. INHD is a service of iN DEMAND, LLC of which Comcast, TW, and Cox are shareholders.
