Hi,

I'm getting a new (2002) 65SWX20B on Thursday :D and I need a STB until Dish Network comes around with the 921. I'm looking at the Samsungs and I can't find any comparison sheet between the T150 & 151. Which one should I get?

I went out and got the T351, Not sure how it differents from the T150 but I can tell you what is different about it from the T151, (had one of those). There is only two differences from the T351 and the T151, and one is not the price, I found them both to cost the same, $350-$450, depends where you look. (got my at Sears, $399). The T351 has two features the the T151 does not have, 1) DVI output, which is the newer thing these days, I do not use it but who know in the future and 2) QAM, which enable the unit to receive singals from a cable line instead of a antenna, (but this feature does not work do to a setting from the factory/Samsung) when and how if we're ever able to use it, who knows? I use an antenna and seems to work find for now, hope this helped.

QAM would only work once the STB has been somehow "activated" by your cable provider. These digital boxes cannot be connected to any cable (like the older analogue ones). The cable company needs to be involved, you have to pay for the services and the communication between the STB and the cable company needs to be "two way" otherwise they'll shut your cable service down.

Some cable companies will only activate their own equipment at this time. In the future, this will likely change.

The 150 is the older model.
Samsung has a flash upgrade you can get for it.

The 150 should cost less since it is a older model.
