Not sure what set to choose. Torn between the WS-55859 Platinum which includes the HDTV tuner and Netcommand for around $3600 and the WS-55918 Platinum Plus for about $3000. The sales guys says the 1st has a better picture even thou its a Platinum. Anyone have any advice.

I looked around a lot before deciding to buy the 55 inch Platinum Plus, i think its one of the best.

I would offer that the 55859 has better optics than the Plus line across the board with better screen pitch. If you look at the back panel, you also get a db15 for connecting a pc-- although only at 640x480.
I chose the 55859 over the 55819, it was a better fit for my requirements. Course, the 55859 has a few gremlins.....
