View Full Version : Do I need to get a calibration?

I have a Mitsubishi WS-55807 that I've had for about 2 1/2 years now. Slowly but surely I've upgraded my input (from no cable box at all (direct plug in from wall) to adding a digital cable STB to upgrading said STB to HD-capable). In all that time, to my eyes, the picture appears fine.

Since I've gone to HD, and having read various threads on this forum, my question is...do I (should I) have a calibration done on my TV? I know many people on this forum have said they got one pretty soon after purchase, but I've been fine with mine as is for the 2 1/2 years I mentioned above. I have not touched it except for some very minor tweaking using the regular menu items (brightness, contrast, etc.)

Any thoughts on this?

Get yourself a HT set up disk-AVIA, Sound & Vision
etc...

If you think it looks fine now, then you'll probably think the cost of the ISF tech isn't justifiable. Especially once you have it done.

A few service menu items and Avia type disk should be close enough.
Mitsubishi 55807 | SA3100HD | Time Warner San Diego HD | DVD (sometime soon?)
assuming you will have a DVD soon so you can use the Avia dvd.
