Problem with Toshiba DST-3000

I'd like to know if anyone has experienced this. I suddenly lost reception(dirct tv) on this unit. I have another(Hughes) hooked up to a nonHD set and everything's fine so I know my signal is good. I also cannot turn the unit OFF!! Not manually nor with the remote. Even when I unplug it and try to reset it still won't turn off. Ironically this happened to me just a few days ago on another nonHD receiver and I had to replace it. Is this thing fried??

I haven't had the problem you listed. I checked the manual for a 'manual reset' button or some such thing, couldn't find any. Try unplugging it for an extended time and try again. Just for grins unplug the coax from the dish too.

I also did a search on the net and didn't get any hits.
